Actuator Running Tool (ART) – horizontal
In 2022, Innova in cooperation with client successfully designed an ROV operated running tool for replacing actuator on SSIV (subsea safety isolation valve). The ART is a critical component for limiting the downtime in case of a failed actuator. By using this tool a replacement can be done within hours.

ART is designed to retrieval and installation of tool will be deployed to the SSIV structure seabed and positioned over the actuator on a subsea pipeline and enable a quick and safe replacement of an actuator valve in case of failure.
The delivery consisted of Actuator Running Tool and two transportation skids. It was developed together with the client and delivered on time and cost after a successful eFAT on site.
The design was done in close collaboration with the client. The construction of the ART was done locally in Sandnes region and Innova monitored the process though out.
The final FAT was done January 2023. The full eFAT was successfully executed on site with the actual actuator and valve, later in the spring under supervision of Innova engineers.
