Control System for Diamond Wire Saw

Our team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers developed a customized 3-channel NG10 Subsea valve pack system designed to control the hydraulic systems of diamond wire saws at depths of up to 3000 meters. Key features included: 

• Pressure Ratings: Working pressure of 270 bar, test pressure of 300 bar, and maximum flow rate of 85 l/min. 

• Configuration: 2 NG10 On/Off valves, 1 NG10 proportional valve, pressure sensors, a relief valve, a water ingress sensor, and a PIO36 valve driver board. 

• Plug and Play: Modular design for ease of maintenance and consistent integration across the fleet. 

A custom GUI was developed for the laptops, providing real-time control and monitoring tailored to the operational needs. The laptops were delivered in dedicated Pelican cases, offering IP67 protection to ensure durability and reliability in subsea environments. The complete system and all subsystems underwent rigorous testing during assembly and mounting in our workshop. A Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at Innova’s facilities verified that the equipment met all functional and performance criteria. 

The client was highly satisfied with the systems, which led to an additional order for more valve packs. The comprehensive testing and the robust packaging of the laptops confirmed the system’s adherence to high performance and quality standards. This project highlighted our capability to deliver reliable, efficient, and user-friendly subsea control systems, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in complex engineering solutions.
