Decades of Expertise in Advanced Subsea System Engineering
Innova has, since it was founded in 1997, vast experience with designing and building advanced electro-hydraulic systems for subsea applications. Projects have included designing bespoke building blocks such as hydraulic valve packs, pumps, control units etc. and ensuring their functionality as part of the complete system.
In addition, several products have been developed over the years for integration into various hydraulic systems such as:
- PIO36 valve controller board and remote I/O unit
- Valve packs for various pressure and flow rating
Project deliveries have included hydraulic systems for Riserless Light Well Intervention stacks, Tie-in tools, Workover Systems (WOCS), subsea excavator, deep-sea mining and many more. Innova strives to be leading on subsea electro-hydraulic system solutions.
Hydraulic fluids include mineral oil, grease and water-based fluids such as HW443. In some special cases components for permanent installation have been developed for customers where reliability and corrosion resistance (high PRE number) on external materials are crucial. Working pressure on the systems delivered have been up to 690 bar
For a specific project, a full API17F qualification was performed on the valve pack, including the valve driver board PIO36.
The design, assembly and testing has been performed in-house by Innova personnel, ensuring a high level of competency and experience over the years.
