Case study asset FlyWOCS

FlyWOCS 

FlyWOCS is an ROV skid developed by Innova on a customer's specification. The skid is used for subsea workover operation of XT and is powered and controlled directly from the ROV.

 Innova designed, assembled and tested the FlyWOCS, starting with the concept phase and ending with mobilization and operational support. The skid involved multidiscipline effort, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and software engineering. Standard Innova components were vital in the design, though some propriety solutions were needed to create a fully seamless solution.  

The system is powered from the host ROV, and provides Low pressure and High pressure Water glycol (HW443) hydraulic functions, chemical injection as well as power and communication to a subsea XT. The hydraulic output circuits are powered by ROV, but separate due to the different fluids involved. THe outputs are controlled by hydraulic valve packs. 

After mobilization the equipment has been working well with regular maintenance, showing the reward paid for the high focus on quality and reliability in the development process.
